Children learning at Hope Restoration Kindergarten

Nine programs. One mission of restoration.

Every program below is active on the ground in Adjumani right now, funded, staffed, and reported on monthly to the partners who make it possible.

01. Education

Hope Restoration Kindergarten

A safe, nurturing classroom for disadvantaged children, many of them from refugee or single mother households. Children receive daily lessons, weekly scripture memorization, and nutritious meals that keep young minds ready to learn.

  • New classroom building completed and in full use
  • Scholastic materials and uniforms provided each term
  • Feeding program alongside every school day

02. Health & Care

Maternal Health & Mama Kits

Pregnant mothers and young mothers face some of the steepest hardship in our community, often abandoned and caring for malnourished infants alone. We provide Mama Kits, sanitary supplies for refugee girls, and practical life skills training like basket netting so mothers can earn a stable living.

  • Mama Kits for mothers preparing to safely deliver
  • Sanitary pads distributed to young refugee girls
  • Basket netting livelihood training for child mothers

03. Agriculture

Modern Agriculture & Hope Shade

Modern farming methods boost local productivity and food security. This year we ploughed roughly one acre for Hope Shade, along the highway to South Sudan, planting fruit trees to feed our children and offer rest to tired travelers, with a vocational school planned for tailoring and carpentry.

  • 450 fruit tree seedlings planted this year
  • One acre ploughed for the Hope Shade fruit field
  • Vocational training planned: tailoring & carpentry

04. The Gospel

Discipleship & Outreach

Every Friday, men and women gather for discipleship in the Word. Door to door outreach and community film nights carry the gospel further still: in June alone, roughly 367 people across several villages gave their lives to Christ.

  • Weekly Friday discipleship gatherings
  • Door to door outreach with practical support
  • Community film nights reaching whole villages

05. Youth & Girl Child Advocacy

Bridge of Hope

We sensitize communities on the dangers of early marriage and early pregnancy, and champion a girl child's right to learn and lead. Refugee youth receive scholastic materials, sport activities, and training to become agents of peace in their communities.

  • Community awareness on early marriage & pregnancy
  • 10 refugee camp settlement youth currently sponsored in school
  • Weekly youth training & sport activities

06. Mercy Mission

Mercy Bags for the Vulnerable

Single mothers and families living with disability receive mercy bags of food items and essentials, delivered with dignity and paired with the community and prayer support they need to keep going.

  • Food and essentials delivered directly to households
  • Ongoing relational support, not one time aid
  • Coordinated with our discipleship community

07. Media & Evangelism

The Jesus Film Ministry

Under a wide open sky, we set up a screen and projector in villages that may never see a cinema, and let the story of Christ speak for itself in local languages. Entire communities, elders, parents, and children alike, gather at dusk to watch the Jesus Film together, and many respond to the gospel that same night.

  • Open air film nights hosted across surrounding villages
  • The gospel presented in local languages everyone understands
  • Follow up discipleship for every new believer who responds

08. Media & Evangelism

Usalama FM 99.7 Radio Program

Every week, our voice travels across the airwaves of Usalama FM 99.7, reaching thousands of listeners throughout Adjumani and the surrounding refugee settlements in real time. The broadcast carries scripture teaching, encouragement for struggling families, and practical health and community announcements to households a road trip could never reach.

  • Weekly live broadcast on Usalama FM 99.7
  • Scripture teaching and encouragement for the whole community
  • Real time reach into homes across the host and refugee community

09. Health & Care

Mental Health & Trauma Care

Many families here carry wounds that food and school fees alone cannot heal, the trauma of displacement, loss, and hardship along the border. Through gentle counseling, support groups, and pastoral care, we walk alongside survivors as they process grief and rebuild genuine hope for tomorrow.

  • One on one counseling for trauma and grief
  • Peer support groups for mothers and youth
  • Pastoral care woven into every other program
